DON'T BUY THE DAILY RECORD

When Jim Traynor, their top football writer can write this rubbish about a serious subject it's time for ALL Celtic fans to hit this rag where it hurts.
Traynor is a self publicising idiot he does not even address the fact that we don't get offended by being told to go home by a shower of ignorant morons, it's the entire song that disgust us.

Any Celtic fans who continue to buy this comic are doing our club a disservice

I won't even print his worthless article on here, he tries to dress it up by having a dig at "old firm" fans, all he is doing is telling Celtic supporters to shut up and take abuse.

I'd like to see what the Pakistani or Indian community would say if they where targeted with this bile

Cut out the IRA songs

All you who have sung the Boy's of the old brigade in the past 2 away games are tarnishing the club and your fellow supporters name.
I realise that a lot of you are angry at the lack of action by the authorities against the bile from the other side, but that's no excuse to give them ammunition to come after us.
The IRA/PIRA have nothing to do with Celtic football club so stop singing these songs.
One thing that sets us apart from the other side is that we have plenty of Celtic songs to sing, we are there to support Celtic, not any political organisations.
Please don't lower yourselves to their level.

Here is a statement from the club prior to the Killie game. Unfortunately a sizeable amount of the support either did not read this or chose to ignore it.

CELTIC take on Kilmarnock this Sunday at Rugby Park and ahead of the game, the Club has called on fans to continue their positive support of the team.

A statement from the Club reads: “We are proud to have such a magnificent support, renowned across Europe for excellent behaviour and clearly, it is important that we preserve this great reputation and maintain these high standards.

“We recognise that there have been reports of elements of inappropriate behaviour at last weekend’s match at Fir Park, and clearly this is something which the Club opposes completely.

“We have worked tirelessly to encourage positive support for the Club, we have taken action against individuals in the past when offensive behaviour has arisen and we will continue to treat this matter very seriously.

“At this weekend’s match against Kilmarnock, we would once again urge any small minority not to tarnish the great name of Celtic Football Club and the great reputation of the vast majority of our fans.

“Let’s keep our high standards which set us apart - get behind the team with positive support as we go for four league titles in a row and continued success in Europe.”

Please take this on board and stop embarrassing the club

Is this a Joke??

Somebody tell me this clown is having a laugh...
DUP MP Gregory Campbell has written to Celtic chairman and ex-NI Secretary John Reid in protest at pro-IRA songs sung at a game last week.
He claims he's had complaints from his constituents about Pro IRA songs being sung at the Motherwell V Celtic game last week.

I would like to congratulate his Unionist constituents for their open mindedness in putting aside their traditional views to enjoy watching a Celtic game and no doubt it was purely for football reasons

Mr Campbell said "Rangers had moved against sectarian chanting following a recent Old Firm game and he called on Celtic to follow suit"....is this guy living on the same planet as the rest of us??

He's obviously referring to Martin Bain's assertion that the famine song was just a bit of tit for tat banter.

This complaint is definitely tit for tat esp coming from a clown like Mr Campbell.

I have always been of the opinion that if people want to sing songs in support of the IRA,UVF or any other "political" body it's up to them, personally I don't . I don't think a football match is the correct place for this stuff, I go to support my team and no one else.
I also think there is a diference between political songs and lets say the famine song and the bjk stuff which is just vile hatred personified.

Mr Campbell seems to think it would do Celtic a diservice for him to go to a game at Celtic park, becuase he would have to report the minority of Celtic fans singing pro IRA songs which would not do Celtic any favours in his small minded view.

Well I shall be writing to Mr Campbel to invite him to Celtic Park, he's welcome to come and report all the pro IRA signing....if he ever hears such stuff, I personaly have not for a long time, appart from the odd drunk wee boy who enjoys solo singing.

As the saying goes..."move on Mr Campbel, there's nothing to see here".

=====================================================

Celtic FC have released a statement "We are pleased that Mr. Campbell recognises the great work which Celtic has carried out in tackling sectarianism.

“We have received his fax and it would have been appropriate for the Club to have an opportunity to consider its content before it was released to the press.

However, it will certainly be considered along with a number of other representations we have received in relation to racist and sectarian chanting from supporters of other clubs"

"It's not our fault, bad people are picking on poor rangers fans"...says Martin Bain

Martin "Baldy"Bain, darling of the Rangers support has commented on the "famine song" issue but he has not condemned it's signing, he has however bleated on about poor rangers fans being singled out while everyone else gets away with it.

Let's see what Mr Bain has to say as a representative of rfc.

"Clearly some supporters feel aggrieved that a song they believe to be no more than a tit-for-tat 'wind up' of Celtic supporters should be singled out in this way and merit the attention of police, governments and anti-racism organisations," said Bain.

"In recent times, the absence of sanction or attention directed at any other club supports the contention that this is very much a one-way street.

"This is despite the best efforts of this club to highlight such issues in constructive discussion with the relevant authorities."

He added: "The club shares supporters' frustration that offensive and wholly unacceptable songs such as those 'celebrating' the Ibrox disasters or inciting death threats to our players are sung by supporters of other clubs on a regular basis with little or no comment or reprimand from any quarter.

"The club also believes that the issue of unacceptable conduct and anti-social behaviour at football matches has at times been used by individuals or groups to pursue their own agendas and there have been instances of this in the recent past."

Well we all know that the only people signing songs about the Ibrox Disaster are Aberdeens fans and I agree that action should be taken against them as well. Making fun of a trdgedy where people are killed is not on.

I do however find this agrgument that rfc are being singled out as a total joke. If they are being singled out it's because of their fans constantly signing songs of hatred.

This is the usual rfc response from Mr Bain is wholey unacceptable, just like Manchester...it's always somebody elses fault.

Dignity FC...my arse

Rangers fan proves our argument

I'd like to thank the anonymous Rangers fan who made this contribution to the famine song blog

"
Anonymous said...

Here is a country steeped in Treason, murder and child abuse asking some football fans to stop singing a song about the truth."

Thank you for proving our theory that your support is infested with knuckle dragging Neanderthals.
Nothing I could write could ever sum up the Rangers support better than your contribution.
Enjoy Champions League night

It takes the Irish Government to complain

For something to be done about the racist famine song.
Where have Scottish politicians and the media been for the past weeks?
Not a word from them.
If they have a policy to ignore this filth then it's not working.
The kind of people who sing this and other hate filled songs won't just go away.
It's time to sanction Rangers Fc.
Time for them to bear the burden of their scum supporters and that's what they are, scum.
A shower of under educated white protestants who hate the world because it's moved on
and left them behind fighting their 300 year war.
Someone commented on the blog that it was a football song..lol... no wonder they decided to remain anonymous the shame of putting your name to such a comment is just too much.

Rangers fans laugh at violence

They think it's funny to have a laugh about people being beaten up in the street. One week after 2 of their bigoted thugs attacked Celtic coach Neil Lennon and left him for dead, this lot still treat it as a joke
This post on BBC 606 a den of bears bigotry is typical of the idiotic response from these cowards

http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A40751723
Now it's meant to be a wind up, a silly light hearted joke and it might have been if the subject was not so serious.
They really are the lowest of the low.

Simon Leslie - Of the Glue Order

Your Club must be proud

more bigotry and hatred from the Glue Order

Let's all laugh at them

All this BJK crowd, what have they achieved?
The answer is simple a wee bit of school yard notoriety and a another embarrassment for their club and decent supporters.
Think about it, how desperate would you need to be to identify your self with that lot??
They must feel so insignificant as human beings that they need to get attention by any means available to them..talk about scraping the barrel???
I noticed on there latest site they have a hate mail section, that says a lot about them people hating them is all they have...but hey they don't care as the song goes.
Can you ever imagine how embarrassing it must be to admit that you actually belong to a body like that in public??
Between them and there wee cousins the Glue Order they appear to have the brain power of a 2 watt bulb, they constantly shoot themselves in the foot ala' Simon Leslie..pmsl...now that was a cracker what a brass neck to give yourself..lol
There's no point hating these people as the old saying goes "more to be pitted than scourned".
This is the only thing they have in their sad wee lives. While the rest of the human race get on with it, these poor buggers are locked in a constant loop of hatred.
They don't know any better, they where brought up to believe that they are the people, so you can see how they are now gutted because all these "mhanky Micks , Pakies and other boggin immigrants" are now running the economy and creating wealth, the poor buggers have nothing else left to cling to...except Her Majesties Apron..
So that's the last mention they get on here, there simply not worth the electrons.

Why do we tolerate this bile?

From

Why do we tolerate this bile?

Jack McConnell is right and Alex Salmond is wrong. Scotland will never be rid of its bigotry unless Holyrood adopts a strong anti-sectarianism line. Otherwise, decades of this desecration of Scottish life and culture, particularly around the Old Firm, will continue.

In some ways the shocking attack on Neil Lennon was fairly predictable. It has happened before and it will happen again. Just as, on Sunday afternoon at Celtic Park, sports reporters, myself included, sat through the usual litany of bile spouted by visiting Rangers fans, with hardly a mention in next day's reports.

The issue has become wearying. How many times can you bang on about “Scotland's shame” before you start losing the will to live?

In London the coaches of Arsenal, Chelsea or Tottenham Hotspur are not attacked in the street. Neil Lennon is no angel, and can certainly dole out the verbals, but these repeated attacks on him are no random fluke.

Instead, we can be quite specific about it. He is a Catholic from Northern Ireland who, just like Martin O'Neill when he was the manager of Celtic, provokes some deep well of prejudice among some of our less enlightened citizens. And it is to the embarrassment of Rangers that quite a few of these unfortunates attach themselves to the club.

Football rivalry is supposed to be keenly felt, yet the peculiar context of the West of Scotland means that, in the case of the Old Firm, it allows for open and voluble prejudice. If this was anti-semitic or anti-Asian vitriol, would we tolerate it?

While Celtic can hardly crow, given some of their supporters' chants, there is a more significant problem at Rangers. The club is unable to gouge out the choral poison emanating from a section of its followers.

Whatever else Jack McConnell got wrong, he had the guts to stand up and condemn bigotry for what it is, and try to root it out. Alex Salmond would do everyone a favour if he came out and did - not just said - likewise.

thanks to kev007

He made this great banner which tells the truth

cheers Kev

Natcho Novo a tale of double standards

Some clown has seemingly published the guy's address on a web site, which in my opinion is well out of order and dangerous, the guy's family have a right to live their life without fear.
But I'm not concerned about him, he's a nasty wee man. What I'm concerning myself with is again the double standards of the rag and hack that published the story and decided to use the word Bigots in the title and the report.
There was no mention of Bigots in the hacks rag on Monday after we witnessed a bigotfest in the away section of our stadium.
No mention of bigots when this banner was hung in full veiw of this hack and the rest of the press.

No mention of bigots attacking innocents in the street. The only thing the laptop loyal where interested in was the poor wee rangers supporters who where upset because a goalkeeper gave them the finger.
No mention of the bigoted abuse the dished out to the goalkeeper and our number 46 during that game and at every away ground in Scotland.
Once again the Scottish media turn a blind eye to the real bigots, the support that refuses to drop it's hatred of all things Celtic , Irish and RC.

The Racist Famine song

There are laws in place in Scotland which prohibit incitement to racial hatred as well as othe UK and EC anti racism laws.
We must use these laws to our favour as we are all UK tax payers.
The latest instalment of racial hate from the Rangers support is the Famine Song "Why don't you go home"?
The lyrics published beneath meet the requirements to breach the race relations act and the incitement to racial hatred legislation.
Please read these lyrics and complain to MP's, MSP's and anti racism bodies (I'll print some links after the lyrics AND a link to a petition to stop this song being sung in public)

It is not the intention of the author of this blog to antagonise or upset any one, merely to show that racism is alive and kicking at RFC.

Here's the full song...

Judge for yourself

I often wonder where they would have been
If we hadn't have taken them in
Fed them and washed them
Thousands in Glasgow alone
From Ireland they came
Brought us nothing but trouble and shame
Well the famine is over
Why don't they go home?

Now Athenry Mike was a thief
And Large John he was fully briefed
And that wee traitor from Castlemilk
Turned his back on his own
They've all their Papists in Rome
They have U2 and Bono
Well the famine is over
Why don't they go home?

INSTRUMENTAL

Now they raped and fondled their kids
That's what those perverts from the darkside did
And they swept it under the carpet
and Large John he hid
Their evils seeds have been sown
Cause they're not of our own
Well the famine is over
Why don't you go home?

Now Timmy don't take it from me
Cause if you know your history
You've persecuted thousands of people
In Ireland alone
You turned on the lights
Fuelled U boats by night
That's how you repay us
It's time to go home.

Hail, Hail

Welcome WE ARE NOT THE PEOPLE

This blog has been set up by and for Celtic supporters who are fed up with the double standards applied in Scotland and the Scottish media regarding the constant bile ,hatred and racism shown by the support of Rangers FC.
While our club and support have made great strides towards ridding ourselves of sectarianism and bigotry, the other club in Glasgow seem to have become even more vile in their hatred of Celtic Football Club, the Irish and anyone of Irish decent who live in Scotland.
After being shamed and forced into dropping their hateful songs by UEFA (note that it was not by the Scottish football authorities) they in their desperation and anger have turned their attentions on Celtic Football Club, our fans, our origins and our clubs history.
They have sought to defile the good name of our club and our greatest manager Jock Stein by exploiting a child abuse scandal which sadly occurred in the 1970's within Celtic Boys Club.
No regard have they taken of the victims or their families they have simply used selective information to attack our club and to attempt to destroy the name of a great Protestant man, who gave Scotland it's finest sporting hour.

So what is the Scottish media made of this?
  • Have they condemned it?
  • Have they started a discussion on it?
  • Have they attempted to name and shame the guilty Party?
Sadly the answer is NO on all counts.
I myself have written on several occasions to broadsheet news papers in Scotland in protest of this vile campaign, not one letter has been printed, neither have I had any response.

Worst of all the Board of Directors of our club has remained tight lipped over this affair leading to anger within our support when we have to sit in OUR OWN ground and listen to these vile chants.
In the past few days we have
  1. Seen our coach attacked in the street by sectarian thugs, AGAIN
  2. listened to the bile from their support in our home, AGAIN
  3. heard about a woman and her 2 kids being put through hell by RFC thugs
  4. witnessed the showing of a banner depicting our club as ambulance chasers AGAIN in our own home
It's time for Celtic fans to make our feelings known on this subject and others e.g the racist "Famine Song" which I will blog about later.

Hail, Hail
