The SHAME in Turkey

Local news media from the City of Bursa, home of Bursaspor who have been drawn with the " worst european football fans" (the turk Milliyet newspaper's direct quote) in football, have announced through the Bursa club official's today, that Rangers fans are not welcome in Bursa (a northwest city with a population of just under 3 million)

Bursa are aware that through Uefa, an allocation has to be provided to away supporters, but will suggest to the away side's official's that they refuse the allocated tickets, having stated that they can fill their own ground for this CL tie.

Bursaspor officials have been keeping a close eye on events from the glasgow side, after witnessing scenes of mayhem in the city of Manchester in england, and do not wish to have scenes repeated in the city of Bursa.

Jandarma (army) have also been approached by the Bursa club, if the allocation is taken from away supporters official out-let's the club have asked that the Jandarma take control of the match pressance inside the stadium (normally Jandarma look after crowd control outside the stadium in turkey)

The president of Bursaspor Ibrahim Yazıcı has assured the home fans there will be no repeat of what the locals witnessed in manchester in the city of Bursa, and every precaution will be taken to safeguard the home support.
