There are laws in place in Scotland which prohibit incitement to racial hatred as well as othe UK and EC anti racism laws.
We must use these laws to our favour as we are all UK tax payers.
The latest instalment of racial hate from the Rangers support is the Famine Song "Why don't you go home"?
The lyrics published beneath meet the requirements to breach the race relations act and the incitement to racial hatred legislation.
Please read these lyrics and complain to MP's, MSP's and anti racism bodies (I'll print some links after the lyrics AND a link to a petition to stop this song being sung in public)
It is not the intention of the author of this blog to antagonise or upset any one, merely to show that racism is alive and kicking at RFC.
Here's the full song...
Judge for yourself
I often wonder where they would have been
If we hadn't have taken them in
Fed them and washed them
Thousands in Glasgow alone
From Ireland they came
Brought us nothing but trouble and shame
Well the famine is over
Why don't they go home?
Now Athenry Mike was a thief
And Large John he was fully briefed
And that wee traitor from Castlemilk
Turned his back on his own
They've all their Papists in Rome
They have U2 and Bono
Well the famine is over
Why don't they go home?
INSTRUMENTAL
Now they raped and fondled their kids
That's what those perverts from the darkside did
And they swept it under the carpet
and Large John he hid
Their evils seeds have been sown
Cause they're not of our own
Well the famine is over
Why don't you go home?
Now Timmy don't take it from me
Cause if you know your history
You've persecuted thousands of people
In Ireland alone
You turned on the lights
Fuelled U boats by night
That's how you repay us
It's time to go home.

Firstly.. Its a football song. Get over it.
Secondly, its the truth. Maybe the Irish could learn a thing or two from its lyrics.
Interesting to hear Celtic Fans week in week out singing songs about the potato famine. The Fields of Athenry springs to mind.No public outcry about that is there? What's that got to do with football? Nothing!! You're all as bad as each other. Try diverting the energy you spend on hate into something more useful.
Dear anonymous you are part of a culture in Scotland that brings shame to this nation.
wonder how many rangers fans in the six counties see the irony of telling others to go home?

Here is a country steeped in Treason, murder and child abuse asking some football fans to stop singing a song about the truth.
It's a terrace song aimed at winding up the opposition, much like the Ibrox disaster chants that Rangers fans hear.
Far be it for me, an Englishman, to come between you but I suggest you grow a backbone and deal with it.
After all, you're not scousers are you?
I am a celtic supporter and have grown to expect this type of rubbish from some of the rangers fans, most of who now nothing of the facts. The reference to large John is once again a slur against a dead man who cannot respond,I choose to ignore them and their simple ways. anonymous needs to get a backbone and a real name,if he thinks that is anything to do with football it sums up exactly what the problem is.
Dear Author,
Your arguement is flawed. You do not have to be a U.K. tax payer to enforce E.U. or U.K. laws and I doubt all of your fellow fans hold down a tax paying job. I suppose this is more benficial for your cause as I hear many of the Celtic fans come from areas of high unemployment.
If you wish to remove racism I suggest you concentrate your efforts on the more extreme cases often seen on the streets of Glasgow although I doubt that this is your mission.

Everyone in the UK over the age of 16 who have left school and is claiming benefit or working pays Tax.
So your response is both flawed and weak.
Why you would think that Celtic supporters come from areas of high unemployment is baffling to say the least.
This is nothing to do with paying tax it's to do with Overt Racism at football grounds in Scotland perpetrated mainly by Rangers fans.
I suggest the next time you try to be clever, you engage your brain first.
The lyrics of the famine song contain unsavoury facts about the behaviour of the Irish as seen by some sections of the community in Scotland. For instance do a search on Irish Republicans and Nazi Germany collusion during WW2.
and yes, the irony of telling gers fans from Ulster, whose descendants suffered every bit as much Irish Catholics to go home, only shows the intelligence of ur average fitba fan on both sides.
If ur offended by this drivel, it is sad reflection on ur own intelligence.
Let The People Sing, indeed, only not if we don't like the song, seems to be the message emanating from Parkhead.
How about getting offended at poverty and starting a petition about something meaningful, as opposed to ur barely disguised predjudices ?
Typical Rangers mentality here. Still believe that the you own/run the world. Do you not realise that it was the English pure degenerate mentality and sick inhumanity that caused the famine in Ireland in the first place. Do the rest of the world not show an automatic respect and love for the Irish, and an automatic distain for the English. Do you think there may be a reason for this? Think about it for a minute, please, and think of the REASON. Have you ever seen Celtic fans fighting anywhere outside of Scotland? What about the Ranger scum who profess Unity with the UK, and still can go to Manchester and cause riots in their 'sovereign' country. No morals, no intelligence, pathetic. YOULL NEVER KILL OUR WILL TO BE FREE... TO BE FREE!!
